About Will

Key Experiences

From studying Mathematics at Sheffield to becoming a Finance Manager
I began working as a Chef during my teenage years and quickly learned of the importance of team working.
I aspired to become a technical expert through my studies and wanted to join an organisation that I felt valued my development and enabled me to work in a team with clear goals and a vision to be successful.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at M&S and the most important part of any company is the people within the organisation. M&S invests in the development of people which opens the door to progressing in different roles within the company.

Current Position

I am responsible for accurately reporting the M&S Balance Sheet
Within my team we manage and are responsible for the balance sheet accounts for areas such as Fixed Assets, Property Costs, Accounts Payable, Landed Costs, GM Logistics, Western Europe, Operating Expenses and HR & Pensions.

Main Motivations

Contributing to the Integrity of the M&S Financial Statements
We always strive to improve the financial control and integrity of our accounts looking for automation and improved ways of working with our stakeholders across the business. This ultimately leads to the delivery of the clean half and full year audit.
